Why Bother Watching The Election, If You’re Only Going To Root For Your Guy?

For the record, I didn’t watch this debate. I will watch it later this week. I did however, watch my Facebook and twitter feed blow up.

It was filled with comments such as

OMG He’s such a liar!

and

Wow, Candy destroyed him

Can you tell which comment was for which candidate?

Nope! Why Not? Because everyone watching and tweeting truly does not give a shit what their candidate says wrong. They are just waiting for the other candidate to mess up.

This is the equivalent of a father going to watch his little daughter play soccer. No matter what happens, he’s going to root for her and her team. I saw tons of debates on my Facebook. I saw zero debates that ended with or even contained “oh you know what, you bring up a good point!”.

I’m not sure I have a point with this post, and this is why I will categorize this post as a Rant. That’s what it’s for right?
